Introducing Pip

This is Pip...a little nymph like character who spent a good portion of his life raised by a creature his people like to hunt.

This bat like creature lost his young and his mate to the hunting party. Pip's parents tried to tell them that the two smaller ones, while appearing fullgrown, were still very young and to move on to an older pod. The group leader would have none of it and slayed them, the male returned and upon seeing the carnage, attacked the group, accidently killing Pip's parents. After the rest fled, he heard the faint crying of the one year old Pip and immediately felt bad, taking the youth and raising him as his own.

These bat like creatures have a language that few know, but Pip was able to learn common as well as the bat-creature's language, so he has little trouble translating or communicating, which has proved as a plus, now that the bat creature's only family would be Pip. Pip was giving the name because of the sound he made attempting to mimick the bat-creature's hunting call.

The bat-creature becaome more and more aware that Pip should be amoung the more humanoid creatures where he would be able to learn and thrive and survive in the quickly modernizing world, so he willingly -as Pip slept- gave him up to the angels to be raised further and also to be safe while he grew up and learned.

While Pip doesn't exactly like the idea of being so far from the only family he's ever consciously known, he feels that his guardian wouldn't possibly have made the wrong choice, so he is willing to settle in.
